A winter storm warning is in effect for north Florida, as far south as Alachua County (Gainesville).
Central Florida will get a steady dose of cold rain Tuesday through Wednesday morning, but we’ll be watching for some rain and freezing rain in northern Marion County along Interstate 75.
Based on just how much arctic air mixes into north Florida will make for either snow (western Panhandle), to a winter mix of sleet & snow (Tallahassee), or more freezing rain, winter mix (Jacksonville).
Be aware that traveling north will be more treacherous than normal as rare winter weather impacts I-10 and parts of I-75.
