The president-elect told NBC News in a phone interview on Saturday that, “The 90-day extension is something that will be most likely done because it’s appropriate.”

He added that if he decides to grant the extension, he will likely announce it on Monday, the day he is sworn into office as president.
That is a day too late for the current deadline in the law that requires the app to shut down on Sunday unless it complies.
The U.S. Supreme Court unanimously upheld the law on Friday.

Though the Biden administration said it would not enforce a shutdown of the app in the final days before Trump comes in, TikTok said it would have to “go dark” this weekend.
