Orlando police investigating shooting that injured 2 people

Update:

ORLANDO, Fla. — Police told Channel 9 that both of the people who were injured in the shooting are now in stable condition.

They also told Channel 9 that a child was among those hurt.

Neighbors said a bystander took the child to the hospital.

As of this evening, law enforcement is still looking for the suspect involved in the shooting.

“In the 10 years that I have been living here, we’ve never seen something like this before,” said resident Lynette Rosado. “So, it’s something traumatizing.”

Police officers also knocked on doors to speak to witnesses and collected evidence scattered in the street.

There is no connection at this time to another Orlando police scene that happened about 10 minutes away on Crystal Lake Drive.

The Orlando Police Department is responding to a shooting in an Orlando neighborhood.

Police said officers responded to the 700 block of South Oxalis Avenue for a shooting call around noon.

OPD said two individuals were located and transported to area hospitals.

Police said one person is stable, and one person is in critical condition.

Police said this is an active and ongoing investigation.
