ORLANDO, Fla. — A local doctor, Dr. Ryan Day, is from Lake Mary and is now a robotic surgeon at AdventHealth. He credited video games with making him a better surgeon.

From Lake Mary High School to medical schools nationwide, Dr. Day is back to offer high-level care to the community he grew up in. Thanks to a childhood hobby, he now operates as a transplant surgeon and surgical oncologist at AdventHealth.

With his advanced skills, he’s utilizing technology, like the DaVinci V Robotic System, to improve the surgical outcomes of patients right here in Central Florida.
