Palm Bay Fire Rescue was called to the Country Gardens condos at about 12:40 am. A 15-year-old had already escaped a second-floor unit, but others were trapped inside.

Assistant Chief John Ringleb told us, “There was a five-year-old fatality, a ten-year-old fatality, and a 32-year-old adult patient, which is a mom or parent. She was transported to the hospital. She’s at Orlando Regional right now in critical condition.”

Palm Bay Fire Rescue updated that the mother had passed away after succumbing to her injuries from the fire.
