BRVEARD COUNTY, Fla. — The Opioid Settlement Proceeds Grant is recognized for its historical effects on the settlement between opioid culture and the State of Florida, bringing over $3 billion to the state over the next few years.

Major opioid manufacturers, distributors and dispensers took a significant blowback in the year 2021 when the city recognized the harmful aftermath of the pandemic that took hold of the town.
The City of Palm Bay joined the State of Florida, counties and other cities in addressing the opioid crisis through the National Prescription Opiate Litigation.

Towards the end of last year, Palm Bay City Council approved Opioid Funding for three programs.
This request for applications hopes to help provide eligible programs and services to the homeless or those at risk of homelessness. To be deemed eligible, programs and services must align with the guidelines.

The second round of applications for the Opioid Settlement Proceeds Grant is now open. Interested parties are encouraged to review the complete request for applications and submit their proposals according to the guidelines provided.

Agencies must complete the registration form by Wednesday, January 29, 2025.
