Keke’s Breakfast Cafe has confirmed reports that two of its franchise locations in Orlando — at 2433 S. Hiawassee Road and 431 S. Chickasaw Trail — closed abruptly in late December and the closures are permanent.

“The decision to close any restaurant is challenging and always done with much thought and consideration for the impacted people. Keke’s Inc. terminated the franchise agreement with the previous owner due to breaches of the franchise agreement,” said an official company statement.

Orlando Business Journal received word from former employees of both restaurants wishing to remain unnamed who claimed when they arrived for work Dec. 30, they were met by representatives from Keke’s corporate team letting them know the locations had closed.
