The tropics remain quiet for now with no tropical activity expected over the next 7 days. Plenty of Saharan dust is preventing storm development in the central Atlantic.
Temperatures are now dropping back to slightly above average, and there will be no heat advisory for your Saturday. We are still expecting highs to reach about 94 to 95°, but with the slightly drier air at the surface level, we will not see a heat index rising far above 100°.
The tropics will remain quiet for at least the next seven days.
An extreme heat watch means that dangerously hot conditions are possible.
We are not expecting any tropical activity for the next few days in the Atlantic basin.
Temperatures are only expected to worsen tomorrow. Monday could be the hottest day of the year, with much of the Orlando metro area reaching 98 or 99° as a high.
This will only be the beginning of the heat, as high temperatures today will reach 94 to 96°, and we will be pushing the upper 90s by the start of the work week.
The heat we have been dealing with for the last few days has now moved on out.
Another heat advisory has been issued for Monday, ahead of what will be the fourth day in a row of triple-digit heat indices.
After blistering heat on Saturday, we expect another round of high temperatures and heat indices in the triple digits.
