Tropical Storm Jerry is moving through the Atlantic and will turn north late tomorrow, likely as a Category 1 storm.
The tropics are largely quiet in the Atlantic basin except for one area of interest with a 70% chance of development.
The Central Florida area experienced significant rainfall yesterday, with some areas receiving between three and five inches, and more rain is anticipated today.

Tropical Depression Nine was upgraded to Tropical Storm Imelda Sunday afternoon. The 2pm advisory from the National Hurricane Center increased winds to 40 mph, making Imelda a weak tropical storm.

We are tracking better rain chances today versus what we’ve had the last couple days thanks to a front moving across our state. This front will bring scattered to widespread showers and thunderstorms this afternoon. Our main threat will be pockets of heavy rain and winds of 30 mph.
A tropical storm watch has been issued for coastal Brevard and Volusia counties. We now have Tropical Depression 9 moving through the Caribbean and will enter the Bahamas over the next 12 hours.
Potential tropical cyclone 9 will likely become tropical storm Imelda by the end of the weekend and we will see impacts along the Florida coast.
