LAKELAND, Fla. (AP) — Rennia Davis had 20 points and 11 rebounds to lead Jacksonville Ribault to a 60-37 win over Orlando Bishop Moore in the Florida high school girls basketball class 5A championship game.
Ribault (25-1) broke open a tight game by outscoring Bishop Moore (23-7) 12-2 in the third period.
Bishop Moore cut its deficit to 29-24 early in the third behind two free throws from Morgan Davis, but Ribault closed on an 11-0 run.
Davis pushed the lead to 48-24 in the fourth on a 3-pointer.
Day'Neshia Banks added 19 points with 12 rebounds for Ribault and Bishop Moore got 16 points from Davis.
