If you need to rid your property of remaining clutter, county officials have issued an important reminder.

The deadline for residents in unincorporated Lake County to set out any final vegetative or construction and demolition debris is Saturday, Jan. 25.

County officials said that if Milton-related debris is not curbside by that date, it may not get picked up.

Here’s what you should know:

  • Vegetative debris includes tree stumps, branches, trunks, and other leafy materials. Do not place these items in bags.
  • Construction and demolition debris include damaged components of buildings and structures, such as wood, glass, roofing materials, or carpeting. It does not include components resulting from repairs.

Officials remind residents to keep items separated from other materials and to avoid obstructions such as mailboxes and powerlines.

Those who believe they have extenuating circumstances with their Hurricane Milton debris are encouraged to call the Office of Solid Waste at 352-343-3776.
