MARION COUNTY, Fla. — A Marion County deputy is recovering after being shot during a traffic stop early Monday.
11 a.m. update:
Deputies said Rheanna Harden shot the deputy with a gun she was hiding in the front of her pants, prompting the deputy to return fire.
The deputy involved sustained non-life-threatening injuries, and Harden was also wounded during the exchange of gunfire.
Both individuals received medical treatment at a hospital and have since been released.
The investigation by the FDLE will continue to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting, and further updates will be provided as they become available.
Channel 9 has a crew working to gather more information and will provide updates on Eyewitness News.

A deputy was shot during a traffic stop early Monday morning in Marion County.
Officials said the shooting happened around 2:30 a.m. in the 2900 block of S. Pine Ave.
Deputies said a woman shot the deputy, and the deputy returned fire.
The deputy received non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
The woman was shot by the deputy and was also transported to the hospital, though her current condition remains unknown.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement has been notified and is expected to conduct an investigation into the incident.
