Wild Coyote found on Orlando International Airport runway

ORLANDO, Fla. — According to Orlando International Airport’s Air Traffic Control Tower a coyote was in the runway for a JetBlue flight Friday morning.

Coyote’s have the ability to access areas through tunnels and can even climb fences.

MCO’s Wildlife team attempted multiple times to disperse the coyote from the runway.

Due to Coyote’s not being a protected species at the state or federal level MCO’s Wildlife team took lethal measures to remove the coyote.

There were no flight delays due to the incident according to MCO.
