It’s been a chilly and wet start to the race week, but nothing fans and drivers can’t handle. Track president Frank Kelleher explains that all cars are designed to drive in all conditions.
“The cars run fast when it’s cold, and with this discipline of racing, they race in the rain, so they have rain tires, and nothing is going to stop us from dropping the green flag,” said Kelleher.

“It is the way it was years ago and the same with open-wheel racing, sprint, and sham cars. It takes me back to the 60s,” said Barzano.
