SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. — Central Florida is finally enjoying a warmup after an unusually cold January.

Since more cold snaps are likely ahead this winter, one local group wants to make sure seniors are prepared the next time we feel a chill.

The Senior Resource Alliance will be giving away 200 space heaters, along with warm sweatshirts and blankets.
The items will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The giveaway is happening behind Northland Church in Longwood starting at 10 a.m.
You do need to register first.
Organizers said each registered senior may receive one kit and will need to bring their registration receipt.
