Now, Isaacman, the man who took the world’s first commercial space walk and raised millions for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital along the way, has been nominated to be the next NASA administrator.

Space UpClose founder and retired chemist Dr. Ken Kremer told us, “Jared Isaacman comes from the commercial space industry, which has really blossomed over the last few years, and he’s a leader in that. So, I think he’s an absolutely fantastic choice to head NASA. It’s unorthodox, but that’s what NASA needs, somebody thinking out of the box.”

In a recent post, Isaacman said, “With the support of President Trump, I can promise you this: we will never again lose our ability to journey to the stars and never settle for second place. “

NASA is still working toward is first moon mission with astronauts in more than five decades.

Last week during an Artemis campaign update, NASA Administrator Bill Nelson said, “I’m optimistic about NASA in the future that’s why I called Jared and told him to come by when he’s in D.C. and we’ll talk further.”
