Deputies: Missing Clermont man located near Apopka, Silver Alert canceled

LAKE COUNTY, Fla. — The Lake County Sheriff’s Office issued a Silver Alert Monday night for Michael Demarino, 73, of Clermont.

Update 10:30 a.m.

Michael Demarino has been located in the Apopka area and he is safe, the Lake County Sheriff’s Office said.

LCSO has canceled the Silver Alert.

A Silver Alert has been issued for a Lake County man.

Sheriff’s investigators said Michael Demarino, 73, could be disoriented, confused and forgetful.

He was reported missing from his home on Cedarwood Way in Clermont around 6 p.m. Monday.

Demarino is described as:

  • Age: 73 years
  • Height: 5 ft. 8 in.
  • Weight: 250 lbs.
  • Hair: Black and grey, shoulder-length; also has thick beard
  • Eyes: Brown
  • Last seen wearing: Grey striped shirt, oversized black shorts, and black & white slippers.

Deputies said they think Demarino is traveling in a 2020 black Jeep Wrangler with the following Ohio license tag: 486XBV (Cardinal specialty plate).

Investigators also said he could be in the Orlando area and without a cell phone.
