Seminole County residents pick up sandbags ahead of Subtropical Storm Nicole

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. — People in Seminole County have started picking up sandbags ahead of Subtropical Storm Nicole after seeing serious flooding left behind by Hurricane Ian.

Residents are still seeing damage there from Hurricane Ian almost six weeks ago. One of their major concerns is the debris in front of homes could fly around and hit people.

Evacuations will depend if it becomes a hurricane and where it goes. Some homes were just starting to get the water out from Hurricane Ian.

There is a no wake zone in order including on the saint Johns River to prevent water from going back in.
