LAKE NONA, Fla. — Santa and his elves helped share some holiday cheer this week at Nemours Children’s Hospital in Lake Nona.

They were out Wednesday hanging hundreds of feet above the ground outside the hospital’s windows.
The window-washing Santa and his helpers waved to the children through the window and shared special messages written on the glass.

“Our families and patients especially love any event that can just bring them out of their room and give them a sense of normalcy,” said Gloria Leyva with Nemours Children’s Hospital. “Something like this during the holiday season gives them the opportunity to do something that they otherwise wouldn’t have the opportunity to do.”

The visit is part of the hospital’s Child Life Program which uses fun activities as part of the healing process.
