Road naming ceremony to honor fallen Master Deputy Link

EUSTIS, Fla. — The City of Minneola honored Master Deputy Bradley Michael Link by naming a section of U.S. Highway 27 after him during a ceremony this Saturday at 10 a.m. at Minneola City Hall.

Master Deputy Link was fatally ambushed while responding to a call in Eustis in 2024. The attack also injured two other deputies. Friends, family and officials from Minneola gathered to honor him with a road naming ceremony.

“Reliving that night is a tragedy,” said Christie from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office. “Doing what he wanted, the people he loved, taking care of the citizens of Central Florida.”

The family proudly displayed a sign designating a section of U.S. Highway 27 in Lake County as the “Master Deputy Sheriff Bradley Michael Link Memorial Highway.” Link is survived by his wife and his parents.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office stated that Link will always serve as an inspiration to the entire force.
