In fact, one Orange County shelter announced Wednesday morning that it was at capacity and seeking help from other local agencies.
Matthew’s Hope in Winter Garden said it was housing many local men, women and children who need a warm place to stay during this cold snap.

The organization made a plea to other ministries in the community to lend a hand — and some physical space.
“We made it work but we used every inch of our facilities. Can your ministry or organization help?,” Matthew’s Hope asked on its Facebook page.
Unusually cold weather is expected to persist over the next couple of nights and mornings across Central Florida.
Team leaders for Matthew’s Hope said they will continue to provide guests with hot meals and warm clothes, but need help with additional sleeping space.

“We will shower them, clothe them, feed them and transport them for the evening, and pick them up in the morning before breakfast.”
Matthew’s Hope said it plans to stay open 24/7 the rest of this week.
Local churches or other agencies who are able to assist with shelter space in the coming days are asked to contact Scott.Billue@gmail.com or Shelley@MatthewsHopeMinistries.org.
