Publix-anchored shopping center sells in $40.1 million deal

A joint venture between a publicly traded company and a real estate investment trust has bought a Publix-anchored shopping center in Seminole County.

Cohen & Steers Income Opportunities REIT Inc. partnered with Phillips Edison & Co. (NASDAQ: PECO) to buy the 142,000-square-foot Oak Grove Shoppes from AGRE Oak Grove Owner LLC on Jan. 17 for $40.1 million, Seminole County records show.

The property last traded hands for $9 million in 2017, though its highest listed sales price was $29.93 million in 2007.
