Police: Roads reopen after crash involving train in Melbourne

MELBOURNE, Fla. — Melbourne police said an incident involving a train shut down roads Wednesday night and Thursday morning.

Police issued a traffic alert on social media, advising of a road closure at the railroad tracks between Hibiscus Boulevard and Fee Avenue.

MPD said it was “due to an accident involving a train,” and asked citizens to “please avoid the area.”

Police later announced that all impacted roads had reopened.
