OCALA, Fla. — Police say a pedestrian died in a traffic crash Monday night in Ocala.

Shortly after 8 p.m., the Ocala Police Department alerted the public to the closure of Silver Springs Boulevard because of the crash.
Police shut down the stretch of roadway between SW 20th and SW Martin Luther King Jr. avenues.

Investigators have not said who died or what led to the crash.
When Channel 9 checked Tuesday morning, Ocala police said the road had reopened.
