Orlando airport closes in on first direct flight to Asia

ORLANDO, Fla. — Editor’s note: This story is available as a result of a content partnership between WFTV and the Orlando Business Journal.

Orlando International Airport wants to provide service to South Korea for the first time, which would give the airport its first direct connection to Asia.

The Greater Orlando Aviation Authority and Osceola County signed a partnership agreement with Incheon International Airport that lays the groundwork for direct service between Orlando and Incheon, South Korea.

The respective parties are working to finalize details of the flight, including the airline and when service will start.
