ORLANDO, Fla. — Orlando has a dual celebration in store for Lake Eola Friday evening. Fireworks at the Fountain will celebrate both the Fourth of July and the city’s 150th anniversary.
The free event will have plenty of live music, food, games and, of course, fireworks.
Orlando police are reminding people that officers will be out in full force to keep them safe, and if you see something, say something.
Officers will be posted throughout downtown and Lake Eola to help direct traffic, answer questions and provide assistance as needed.
They are strongly encouraging residents and visitors alike to make responsible choices and to not drink and drive!
The event is weather permitting. The is a chance weather could the impact event. Channel 9’s team of certified meteorologists expect rain leading up to the Fireworks at the Fountain, but it should dry out in time for the fireworks.
Events start at 4 p.m. with fireworks set to launch into the sky at 9:10 p.m.
