Orlando flights impacted after deadly passenger jet, helicopter crash near DC

ORLANDO, Fla. — Passengers flying from Orlando to Washington, D.C., should use extra caution Thursday morning.

Flights were canceled overnight after a deadly mid-air crash between an American Airlines passenger jet and a military helicopter.

Several airlines fly between Orlando International Airport and Reagan National Airport, including American, Jetblue, Southwest, and Delta.

Airport leaders said travelers need to check their flight status before they head to the airport.
