Orlando to see 3rd highest rent growth nationally, experts predict

A lack of apartments in the works is going to clash with high demand in Central Florida, leading to a spike in Orlando rents by the end of the year.

This is the conclusion of a recent analysis by commercial real estate investment firm Berkadia, which predicts Orlando will see the third highest rent growth in the country in 2025.

Rent has been virtually flat after a steep post-pandemic rise. Average metro rents went from $1,282 per month in 2020 to $1,813 per month by 2022, but have since fallen slightly to $1,734 last year, according to Berkadia.
