Orange County Sheriff’s Office says extreme speeding is on the rise and will be leading an effort to pass a Super Speeder law to ensure excessive speeding is treated as seriously as reckless driving.

The legislation would increase penalties, impose mandatory fines, and allow for vehicle impoundment because reckless speeds demand serious consequences.
