ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Avalyn West Apartments on Ivey Lane became a scene that needed further investigation in the early morning of December 18 when the Orlando Police Department (OPD) responded to a reported suspicious incident

At approximately 4:14 a.m., OPD officers responded to a suspicious incident at the Avalyn West Apartments.
Upon arrival, they discovered a deceased male, later identified as Jerome Thomas.

An arrest warrant was executed for Carleton D. Sealey today, December 21, 2024. Sealey is currently being held at the Orange County Jail.

Charges include First-Degree Murder with a Firearm, Home Invasion Robbery, Burglary of a Dwelling with Assault/Battery with a Firearm, and Fraudulent Use of Credit Cards exceeding $100.
