According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Inman is accused of receiving and saving videos of child sexual abuse material to his phone depicting adults sexually assaulting young children.

Officials said Inman traveled to Las Vegas in October 2024 and had begun talking online with an undercover law enforcement officer posing as the father of a 9-year-old boy.

During the online communication, investigators said, Inman suggested he wanted to meet the child and have sex and also sent inappropriate videos to the undercover officer.

The FBI arrested Inman on a warrant, and investigators recovered electronic devices at his residence before authorities said he “attempted to delete the evidence from his phone and hide in the attic of his house.”

According to a LinkedIn account, Matthew Inman was employed at Visit Orlando.

WFTV’s Ashlyn Webb reached out to Visit Orlando, and they provided the following statement, “Matthew Inman is no longer employed by Visit Orlando. Once we learned of the charges, we immediately started the process to terminate. The termination was effective on January 21.”

Inman was also connected to two local political organizations, the Orange County Democratic Party and Rainbow Democrats.

Both organizations posted statements on their Facebook pages regarding the arrest of Inman.

Inman faces five to 20 years in federal prison if convicted.
