SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. — Orlando Health leaders and local leaders cut the ribbon on the new Orlando Health Lake Mary Hospital.

With its official transition set to take place on Saturday, January 11th, Orlando Health South Seminole Hospital will close.
The emergency room will remain open as a 10-bed stand-alone location until the completion of Orlando Health Emergency Room Longwood, scheduled to open in February 2025.

“Today’s ribbon cutting marks our expanded and continued commitment to Seminole County when it comes to the world-class healthcare we are known for in this community,” said Shawn Molsberger.
Molsberger is the senior vice president of Orlando Health North Florida region and Orlando Health Lake Mary Hospital president.
She says, “Modern amenities will ensure a comfortable and supportive environment for every patient.”
The hospital includes features such as a full-service emergency department, six state-of-the-art operating rooms and three catheterization labs with dedicated interventional radiology and vascular lab.

The hospital features six private suites thoughtfully designed for expecting mothers to make them feel at home while providing exceptional medical care.
Each suite includes a hydrotherapy tub for laboring, a shower, a recliner, an adjustable bed with a squat bar, wireless and waterproof heart rate monitors for mom and baby, and a smart board that integrates patient and nurse information.
