ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Florida Highway Patrol troopers responded to a deadly crash Friday morning in east Orange County.

The crash happened around 7:23 a.m. near the intersection of South Goldenrod Road and Alachua Street.
Troopers said the crash involved a rider on a Kawasaki motorcycle who crashed into a box truck.

The truck was slowing down to make a turn when the motorcycle rider failed to slow down and slammed into the back of the vehicle, according to a report.
The rider was taken to Advent Health East Hospital, where they were pronounced dead.

The truck driver was uninjured and remained at the scene.
Troopers said the roadway is blocked in the area as they continue their crash investigation.
