ORLANDO, Fla. — A major construction project will begin Monday near downtown Orlando.

The roadwork will impact a section of Summerlin Avenue.
Crews will work between Marks Street and South Street for nearly three years.

City leaders said the work will enhance the infrastructure.
They want to avoid similar problems like a massive water main break in 2018 that sent thousands of gallons of water gushing into the streets and flooding cars.

Crews will work on that project on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
