Lake land deal portends new development near Eustis

A large land tract in eastern Lake County sold recently, suggesting new development may follow.

American Land Mount Dora LLC, an entity tied to Orlando-based American Land Development, bought 189 acres in unincorporated Eustis for $7.6 million in a deal that closed on Oct. 25, according to a deed posted with the county.

The land was sold by Florida Conservation-Raab LLC, an entity state records say is tied to a Simon Raab of Summerland, California.
