Since the 2021 announcement that H Mart would enter the Florida market with a store on Colonial Drive, fans of the Korean grocery superstore have waited with bated breath for word of an opening date.

Four years later, that date still isn’t certain, but Hyemi Kim — part of the Kim family that owns Davie-based general contractor FH Enterprise Holdings Inc. — on Jan. 17 told Orlando Business Journal she’s on site daily and progress is significant.

She also shared in a post to Facebook group Orlando Foodie Forum presented by Tasty Chomps! the firm passed four inspections on Jan. 16 and crews are working seven days per week.
