Flash Flood Warning issued in Volusia County

ORLANDO, Fla. — Channel 9 is keeping an eye on strong storms moving through Central Florida on Friday.

9:58 a.m. update:

A Flash Flood Warning has been issued for east central Volusia County until 12:15 p.m.

This includes New Smyrna Beach, Edgewater and Oak Hill.

Doppler radar estimates that 2 to 4 inches of rain have fallen. An additional 1 to 3 inches of rain is possible in this area.

Flash flooding is ongoing or is expected to begin shortly.

A Flood Watch continues for all of Volusia and Brevard counties until 8 p.m.

Additional flooding may occur along the I-95 corridor later Friday.
