Festivities for the 48th annual event are happening on Saturday, Jan. 18.
The event honors Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and the town said this year’s theme, “Illuminating Tomorrow Together,” brings an important message of celebrating “unity, progress, and hope for the future.”
After a parade along Kennedy Boulevard, visitors can visit “Festival in the Field.”
Event organizers said it will feature live music, food, local artisans, and family-friendly activities.
Eatonville’s MLK Parade Celebration runs from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.
But parade preparations will force some street closures beginning Saturday morning, including a major stretch of Kennedy Boulevard.
