Former Proud Boys leader Enrique Tarrio returns to Florida after Jan 6. pardon

MIAMI, Fla. — Rioters who were locked up for their roles in the deadly attack on the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021, are now free.

That includes former Proud Boys leader Enrique Tarrio.

He landed in Miami on Wednesday after President Donald Trump pardoned him and more than 1,000 others who were convicted.

Tarrio was serving a 22-year sentence.

Those pardoned include more than 250 people who were convicted of assault charges.

More than 140 police officers were assaulted on that day.
