On Monday, prosecutors will present evidence, including 911 calls, forensic reports, and possibly, witness testimonies. If the court determines adequate evidence, a murder trial will follow.
Investigators said the 49-year-old is accused of shooting his Ellie inside the bedroom of their El Prado Avenue home in October of 2024.
Arrest warrants state Anthony originally called 911 and told police Ellie committed suicide. He also told investigators Ellie called out of work, and he went shopping when everything occurred at a public on Curry Ford Road.
An audio recording uncovered of Anthony telling a child their mother was sleeping, leading investigators to believe he shot his wife and texted himself to set up his alibi while his children were in the house.
Orange County detectives learned Ellie Shea was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound to her temple, and the shooting happened in a second-floor bedroom.

The report said Anthony Shea told investigators, “We had a bad night last night, arguing about my affair,” and the pair had an argument on Sunday.
Detectives said Anthony Shea claimed to have found Ellie Shea and her personally owned firearm in the bedroom when he returned. He told investigators he performed CPR until paramedics arrived at the home.
Deputies said text message evidence from Ellie Shea’s cell phone and an inadvertent audio recording led them to believe Anthony Shea’s attempt to direct evidence.
However, based on the detectives’ findings through their investigation, OCSO concluded that this incident was not a suicide, as they had first believed with initial evidence.
The Sheriff’s Office expressed Ellie Shea’s commitment and positive attitude to her work.

Anthony Shae’s pre-trial is set for Monday at 9 am.
