OCALA, Fla. — The Florida Highway Patrol shot and killed a man at an Ocala hospital during an altercation with law enforcement, according to Ocala police.

Friday morning, Ocala police arrived at HCA Hospital to assist a Florida Highway Patrol Trooper who was involved in an altercation with a suspect in Trooper custody at the hospital.
During the altercation, a Trooper killed the suspect, according to Ocala Police.
No officers or hospital staff were hurt during the shooting.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement will handle the investigation.
