MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — A Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office deputy is in jail after he was accused of trafficking drugs.

Investigators said Deputy Francisco Javier Melo purchased 12 MDMA pills from an informant for $240.

Investigators say Melo planned to attend a music festival on Royal Caribbean’s Allure of the Seas cruise ship.
