OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — Troopers are investigating a deadly crash involving a pedestrian and an SUV near Kissimmee.

It happened around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday along Kings Highway north of Henry Partin Road.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, the driver of a 2018 Chevy Suburban was traveling southbound on Kings Highway when his SUV struck a woman in the roadway.

Investigators said the woman walked into the direct path of the oncoming SUV.

The pedestrian, 66, of Kissimmee, died from her injuries.
FHP said the SUV’s driver, 46, and his 16-year-old passenger were not hurt and remained at the scene following the crash.
