OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — State troopers are investigating a deadly crash in Osceola County.

The crash happened just before 5:30 a.m. at the intersection of Deer Park Road and Nova Road near St. Cloud.
Florida Highway Patrol said that five vehicles were involved and one person died at the crash site.
Troopers said three other drivers were hurt but those injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.
FHP said The five-vehicle crash resulted when the driver of a Kia Sportage SUV, traveling southbound on Nova Road, attempted to swerve around a stopped car ahead at the intersection of Deer Park Road.
Investigators said the Kia SUV struck a Honda Accord traveling in the northbound lane of Nova Road.
The Honda’s driver, 24, of St. Cloud, did not survive, troopers said.

Around 8 a.m., a Channel 9 crew found a law enforcement roadblock at Nova Road and State Road 520, several miles north of the crash scene.
By late morning, FHP’s official website reported that road closures caused by the deadly crash had been cleared.

FHP said the crash remains under investigation.
