DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Deputies in Volusia County are investigating a crash after a woman was run over.

It happened in Daytona Beach, between Lenox and Silver Beach, near A1A.
Deputies said a 71-year-old woman from New York was in a lounge chair when she was backed over by a car.

She was conscious and talking before first responders took her to the hospital.
The driver that hit her, an 84-year-old DeLeon Springs woman, remained on scene.

Deputies said the woman is recovering at a hospital.
