MARION COUNTY, Fla. — Deputies in Marion County said they arrested a man after a dangerous high-speed chase.

Deputies said they tried to pull Al Johnson Jr. over, but he sped off from the traffic stop.
The pursuit happened early Saturday morning near Southeast Maricamp and Baseline roads.

Video shows a deputy chasing after the reckless driver as he made a U-turn in a median and took off at high speeds.
Deputies said Johnson had just left Time Nightclub on SE Maricamp Road before the chase began.

They said he reached speeds over 100 mph during the chase.
The driver eventually pulled over after narrowly missing a guardrail.

Deputies said Johnson is facing charges of fleeing to elude a law enforcement officer with disregard for safety.
