Downtown Orlando brewery officially announces closure after 10 years

ORLANDO, Fla. — It was with a heavy heart that Broken Strings Brewery in downtown Orlando officially announced its closure in a Facebook post to its patrons.

The brewery was a staple of the downtown area for over 10 years and recently started a GoFundMe that helped keep it open until the end of the year.

The owners stated that they came close to making this announcement many times over the course of the brewery’s life but now officially have to close the doors, effective immediately.

The post also included the brewery’s stance on the recent changes in downtown Orlando, which they believe have made it a “ghost town.”

They join just the long list of businesses that have had to shut down over the last few years in Downtown Orlando.
