Last February, the husband of New York Doctor Amy Tangsuan filed a wrongful death lawsuit. Tangsuan died of anaphylactic shock in October 2023 after eating at Raglan Road Irish Pub in Disney Springs.
The lawsuit says she ordered broccoli and corn fritter, scallops, a vegan shepherd’s pie, and onion rings.

This was after her husband said their server guaranteed multiple times the food was allergen-free for Amy. She was severely allergic to dairy and nuts, the suit stated.
Minutes after leaving the restaurant, she collapsed at Disney Springs and later died of anaphylactic shock.
In a new motion filed in Orange County Court, attorneys said the widower had a sample of the food eaten by his wife that night.

The couple had taken the leftover food with them before they knew the food Tangsuan ate allegedly contained allergens.
The suit said the food has been kept frozen in the same condition as it was when it was taken from Raglan Road.
The question now from both sides, is how the food should be tested, and what rules should be set before testing it? They’ve asked the judge for guidance.

The widower’s attorney wrote, “Although it is unknown how much food is in the sample or whether it is enough to be tested, it is in the best interest of the parties to attempt to have the food sample tested for allergens. This is new information that could be indisputable evidence in the case.”
No word yet on when the judge may provide guidance to the attorneys.
