COCOA, Fla. — Troopers said a 16-year-old girl from Cocoa died in a single-vehicle crash early Thursday morning on State Road 520 in Brevard County.
The crash occurred at around 3:40 a.m. when a 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan she was driving overturned several times after losing control and striking a guardrail.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, while a 15-year-old female passenger, also from Cocoa, sustained minor injuries and was not transported to the hospital.
The crash is currently under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol.
