ORLANDO, Fla. — Central Florida will be slightly warmer on Friday, and more warmth is expected to close the week.

A few showers may occur this morning in our southern areas, but much of the region will be dry.
Some sunshine will return to the region on Friday, with highs pushing into the upper 60s.
Some light showers will also be possible this evening and overnight, primarily south of Orlando.

Morning lows will be in the mid-50s.
However, significant changes will occur during the holiday weekend.
Partly sunny skies will prevail on Saturday, with showers arriving very late in the day. Breezy conditions will accompany highs that soar into the upper 70s.

Sunday is looking increasingly like a washout, with periods of rain for much of the daytime.
Highs on Sunday will be in the low 70s.
A cold front will sweep through Sunday night, bringing much cooler air to the region for MLK Day on Monday.

We’ll see cloudy skies for the holiday, with highs only in the low 50s.
Next week looks very active, with rounds of rain likely across the area and windy and chilly conditions.
Tuesday and Wednesday’s highs will only be in the mid-50s, with a wintry mix possibly in North Florida and the Panhandle.
