MELBOURNE, Fla. — Today, the City of Melbourne held a pair of workshops to seek public input for the implementation of a public parking management system for the city’s on-street and off-street parking facilities.

The city says downtown parking has been a topic of discussion for years now.
Kim Agee, Executive Director of Melbourne Main Street told us, “So, the spots are here. It’s do our visitors know where they are? Do they know how to get to them? Is it easily accessible?”

A consultant is expected to look at those questions and more.
The purpose of the consulting services is to provide the city with their analysis and parking management recommendations going forward.
